Teri Russell
Ms. Russell was born and raised in Gulf Breeze, Florida, and graduated from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, where she obtained a B.A. in Legal Studies, with a minor in Business. She then attended the University of Houston Law Center, where she graduated with her J.D. Degree.
After passing the Texas State Bar Exam, Ms. Russell represented plaintiffs in personal injury claims. Because of her experience, she has an insider’s understanding of the ways that Plaintiff’s attorneys develop and implement litigation strategies for a wide range of cases such as maritime, product liability, commercial trucking accidents, medical malpractice, automobile accidents, and premises liability. Ms. Russell is able to draw on that experience to the advantage of her clients when representing them in defense of liability claims, including maritime claims (personal injury, cargo, general maritime law, coverage, allision/collision, ship repair), claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act and its extensions (Defense Base Act, Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act, Non-Appropriated Funds Instrumentalities Act) and other business and commercial litigation cases.
Ms. Russell is admitted to practice law in the State of Texas, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas is a member of the Houston Bar Association, Houston Young Lawyers Association, and Houston Trial Lawyers Association.
