Monica Martinez
Ms. Martinez earned her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in International Law from Concordia University Irvine in 2020. She went on to earn her Master of Arts in Coaching and Athletic Administration at Concordia University Irvine in 2021, followed by her Juris Doctor from Marquette University Law School in 2025.
While attending law school, Ms. Martinez received her Certificate in Sports Law from the National Sports Law Institute. She interned at various universities, including the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Eastern Michigan University, and externed for the NCAA in its Office of the Committee on Infractions. She also competed in the Fall 2023 Collegiate Sports Negotiation Competition and the Fall 2024 ASU NBA Trade Deadline Competition. She was admitted to practice law in Wisconsin and Illinois in 2025.
Ms. Martinez is based in the Chicago office, where her practice focuses on representing employers and carriers in claims brought under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act and its extension, the Defense Base Act.
