Marshall J. Walker
Mr. Walker earned his J.D. from Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2024. He graduated cum laude and held executive leadership roles in both the Black Law Students Association and the Civil Rights Law Society. Mr. Walker received his Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2020.
Prior to joining Thomas Quinn, Mr. Walker gained valuable career experience in both trial and appellate courts as an Assistant State’s Attorney with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. During law school, Mr. Walker served as a judicial extern to two Justices on the Illinois Appellate Court in the First District, and also worked as a Summer Associate at a well-known law firm in the Chicago area.
Mr. Walker is currently based in the Chicago office, where his practice is focused on the representation of employers and carriers in cases brought under the United States Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act and its extension, the Defense Base Act.
Outside of practicing law, Mr. Walker is actively involved in mentorship and community engagement through Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and 100 Black Men.
