Mariam Shariff

Ms. Shariff is from Toronto, Ontario where she received her Bachelor of Arts with honors from the Toronto Metropolitan University. Shortly thereafter, she moved to Chicago to pursue a Juris Doctor degree. While attending law school, Ms. Shariff clerked at the Circuit Court of Cook County and interned at a real estate investment firm. She completed a concentration in Sustainability and graduated cum laude from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law. Ms. Shariff is based in the Chicago office where her practice focuses on representing employers and insurance carriers in claims brought under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, and its extension, the Defense Base Act.
