Mahek Sharma
Ms. Sharma is a native of the greater Seattle area and completed her undergraduate education at the University of Washington, earning dual bachelor’s degrees in law, Economics & Public Policy, and Global Studies, with a focus on Political Economy. She went on to obtain her Juris Doctor from Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis. Ms. Sharma began her legal career as an attorney at an insurance defense firm, working on a range of litigation matters, including construction litigation, trademark infringement, wrongful death, and personal injury disputes ranging from workplace injuries and slip-and-falls to motor vehicle accidents and more. She brings her defense-oriented experiences to Thomas Quinn’s Chicago office, where her practice focuses on representing employers and insurance carriers in claims brought under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, and its extension, the Defense Base Act.
