Judith Leichtnam
Ms. Leichtnam received her law degree in 1982 from Golden Gate University School of Law, where she was a member of the Law Review. She completed her undergraduate degree in Political Science in 1979 at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Ms. Leichtnam has extensive experience representing insurance companies and self-insured employers in claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act and the California Workers’ Compensation Act. She has represented clients before the United States Court of Appeals in the Ninth, Fifth and Eleventh Circuits, the Benefits Review Board, the US Department of Labor, the California Court of Appeals and the California Workers Compensation Appeals Board.
Ms. Leichtnam has given numerous legal presentations for clients and attorneys on a broad range of topics pertaining to the Longshore Act and the California Workers’ Compensation Act. She is admitted to practice in California, US District Court and the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth, Fifth and Eleventh Circuits.
