Daniel Gaughan
Mr. Gaughan earned his B.A. in History from Marquette University in 2019. He went on to earn his J.D. from Marquette Law, with a certificate in litigation, in 2022. While pursuing his J.D., he worked as an extern for the Federal Public Defender’s Office in the Eastern District of Wisconsin and was a judicial clerk for a federal magistrate judge. He was admitted to practice in Wisconsin in 2022. He began his career at a personal injury firm where he represented injured plaintiffs. He joined Thomas Quinn in 2024 and works out of the Chicago office.
Mr. Gaughan focuses his practice on representing government contractors and their insurers before the United States Department of Labor’s judicial and administrative tribunals in defense of claims brought by employees working overseas at American military bases. These claims arise under the Defense Base Act extension of the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act.
