Christian J. Berchild, Attorney at Law
Mr. Berchild received his Bachelor of Science from The University of Minnesota in 2012 and his Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law in 2016.
He deployed to Afghanistan in 2019 as the commander of an infantry company and earned a bronze star for heroic achievement. His experience of working with government contractors in a war zone has provided his clients with a unique level of insight on Defense Base Act claims. Prior to joining Thomas Quinn, Mr. Berchild worked at a legal non-profit organization where he represented undocumented immigrants in deportation defense cases.
Mr. Berchild was admitted to practice in the State of Illinois in 2016. He is based in the Chicago office and his legal practice consists of representing employers and insurance carriers in defense of liability claims arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act and its extension the Defense Base Act.
