Billy J. Frey
Mr. Frey received his B.S. in Sociology (Summa Cum Laude) from the University of Houston in 2004, his Juris Doctorate (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of Houston in 2007, and his Master’s of Business Administration from Texas A&M University – Commerce in 2015.
His practice consists of representing companies and insurance carriers in defense of liability claims, including maritime claims (personal injury, cargo, general maritime law, and allision/collision) as well as claims arising under Longshore & Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act and its extensions such as the Defense Base Act and the War Hazards Compensation Act.
Mr. Frey is admitted to practice law in Texas state court, U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas, and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. He has published articles about maritime claims and has also given multiple legal presentations for clients and attorneys on topics such as the Defense Base Act, the War Hazards Compensation Act, Medicare Set Asides, and general litigation tactics.
