Ross Leavitt
Mr. Leavitt earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Indiana University in 2019 and his Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law in 2025. In law school, Mr. Leavitt was part of the DePaul Journal of Health Care Law where he authored an article discussing new developments in physician-assisted suicide legislation. While working as a law clerk for the Cook County Public Defender, Mr. Leavitt gained valuable experience by assisting his supervising attorneys on issues ranging from Fourth Amendment standing to improper police identification.
Mr. Leavitt is based in the Chicago office, where his practice focuses on representing employers and carriers in cases brought under the United States Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act and its extension, the Defense Base Act. He is admitted to practice in Illinois.
